Sleeping doesn't work if bosses (or in my case, one of the lunar pillars) are present in your world Maybe the cooldown effect carries over to any method of speeding up time? When the cooldown is over I'll know for sure, but if someone has a save that has a sundial ready to go you can likely test this much faster than meĮdit: Figured it out. I realized that it may be because I used the enchanted sundial and I'm still waiting for the cooldown to wear off on it. I lay in the bed and time stays the same rate.
